Tips When Using Your Commercial Canopy

Commercial canopies are a fantastic way to promote your business or brand. They can be used in almost any outdoor setting or event and can connect you directly with your clients. We thought it would be a good idea to share some tips with you on how best to use your commercial canopy.

Use It to Create an Outdoor Workshop

The last thing you want for your customers is for them to be stuck in a stuffy garage or shed during a lovely day. Using a commercial canopy allows you to connect with your client base in a much more relaxed environment. Commercial canopies are great for construction workers who would otherwise be spending most of their day in a closed environment.

Make Sure You Get a Canopy Permit

If you plan on using a commercial canopy for a business event or show, make sure that you check with the city about whether or not you need a permit. If you aren’t required to have a permit, you may still need to provide information about your commercial canopy and whether it is safe for use.

Use It as a Water Station

A great way to expose your brand and help out thirst athletes is by having a water station setup at the local marathon. It is a great way to interact with the community and show that you care about the athletes taking part in the race.

These are just a few tips, can you suggest anymore?

What Exactly Are Tarpaulins?

Tarpaulins are basically a piece of material that has been designed to be waterproof or water resistant. This is achieved by treating the material with a layer that prevents wetness. There is a wide range of uses for tarpaulins, everything from protecting you and your guests from bad weather conditions, to protecting your floor from paint as you renovate your home. You can find tarpaulins at most good hardware stores under the name “tarps” as they are usually called. You can purchase a tarpaulin at any size that suits you best; you can even get pieces cut so that you have various sizes for different uses.

Tarpaulins originate from palling, which is a type of heavy cloth that was most used for shelter. Palling was also used on ships and they would cover it with a thick tar to prevent moisture and wear and tear. The “tar palling” was born and evolved over the generations into what we have today. As technology improved, so did the manufacturing of tarpaulins. Most tarpaulins that are manufactured today are made from synthetic materials such as plastic.

Your typical tarpaulin is rather heavy in weight as it is designed to withstand heavy winds and harsh weather conditions. They are often produced in a woven pattern, making them rather coarse to the touch. Their edges are generally reinforced with grommets, making it far easier for the user to run rope for various ties. You will notice that tarpaulins are produced in bright colors, making them easily visible.

Things You can Keep Safe under Portable Garages

Not all houses or homes come with a built-in garage, which is why purchasing portable garages is a fantastic way to keep valuables safe from the weather. Weather you live in an area that has a high level of rainfall or snow each year, portable garages are able keep them out. Portable garages aren't just for your motor vehicle either; any large object that needs protection from the elements can stand underneath.

To give you an idea of what many people use portable garages for, we will show you a few things that you can store underneath.

RV

While you can enjoy your RV for those great family getaways, you won’t be using it all year round. This means that it needs a safe place to hibernate. Portable garages are the perfect solution and will fit the length and width of your RV perfectly.

Lawnmower

If you have a large piece of land or garden that needs trimming on a regular basis, there is a good chance that you have a large lawnmower. Without a portable garage, your lawnmower will be exposed to the elements and will result in it rusting far quicker.

Boats

Having a speed boat or fishing boat is the perfect thing to take on a family holiday. The problem is, what do you do when you aren't using it? Portable garages will keep your boat safe and sound from rain, snow and heavy winds.
